Hässelby-Vällingby is one of 11 district administrations in Stockholm City with just over 77,000 residents.

In the LSS unit, there are currently 17 case officers, a group leader, and a unit manager. We work with both children and adults, and the unit is currently divided so that 5 case officers focus on children and 11 case officers focus on adults. We have one case officer who has a reception function for new cases. We receive support with administrative tasks such as fees, invoice management, and sick pay from an administrative assistant. We are now looking for employees for the disability group for children; the position is a permanent employment.

Your role

In your role as a case officer in the LSS unit, you primarily work from the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) but also from the Social Services Act (SoL). Your tasks include receiving, investigating, assessing, and making decisions about interventions according to LSS and/or SoL. The role may also include providing advice and information about our work. As a case officer in the LSS children's group, you will meet children aged 0-18 and their guardians and investigate applications for support according to LSS or SoL. In your work, you will collaborate with both colleagues in the district and external partners. We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied job in a changing environment where no two days are the same!

Your qualifications and experience

• You have a degree in social work. We value previous experience in public authority operations and case management according to LSS as well as work with people with disabilities. A particular plus if you have worked with children.
• You have a professional approach and work both independently and in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well.
• You are relationship-building and have a very good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations.
