The Upper Secondary and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, financial assistance, receiving newcomers and quota refugees, as well as upper secondary school, adult education, and summer internships.

Huddingegymnasiet is a college preparatory high school in Huddinge municipality in Stockholm County. We aim to develop into one of the region's most attractive high schools. At the school, we offer theoretical programs as well as language introduction programs. Our goal is to provide our students with the best possible conditions for their continued studies. The school has a total of about 680 students, of which about 50 are in the language introduction program. We offer you a pleasant working environment and engaged colleagues.

About the job

We are looking for a counselor who, in collaboration with colleagues in the student health teams and mentors, will work with students in the language introduction program and national programs. The position is a permanent part-time position at 50%.

The work with students at the school includes conducting supportive and motivating conversations. In the language introduction program, it also involves assisting students in their contacts with external authorities and, if necessary, communicating with guardians, legal guardians, and foster homes.

Your profile

You have a degree in social work or another equivalent education and good knowledge of upper secondary school and introduction programs. You are solution-focused and have a good ability to build positive relationships with students as well as collaborate with other staff in working with students. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of migration, the Migration Agency's procedures and regulations, as well as experience from social services, e.g., if you have worked with unaccompanied minors.
