Support Pedagogue at Åselstadsvägen 96
Do you want to work in a role where you can support, inspire, and make a difference every day? Then you could be our new support pedagogue!
Who are we?
The Social Office in Norrköping Municipality focuses on the needs of the individual. It should be easy to get help. Our support and treatment measures are of high quality and based on legally secure assessments.
We want to find solutions close to the individual and contribute to a positive change for them. Together, we want to create security and good social services for those living in Norrköping.
Åselstadsvägen 96 is a group home for people with mental and physical disabilities. We consist of two floors with engaged teams of support assistants and caregivers who work based on a user-oriented approach, focusing on their needs.
The group home is located south of Norrköping and has good public transport connections.
We are now looking for two support pedagogues!
As a support pedagogue, you play a key role in creating a safe, meaningful, and developing everyday life for our users. Your work is user-centered, and you start from each person's needs and conditions. You work with both personal and social care.
You are present in everyday life, and together with your colleagues, you motivate and support users in their daily lives, based on their individual implementation plans.
You are a natural part of developing, improving, implementing, and following up on work methods, implementation plans, routines, and activities that strengthen and promote the user's independence and participation.
You have close collaboration with your colleagues and strengthen the team's work. You support the development of common routines and play an important role in guidance, skills development, and some delegation of tasks within the team.
As a support pedagogue, you collaborate with important actors around the individual user, including relatives, guardians, and authorities, to create a comprehensive picture and cohesive support. You are an important link between colleagues and the unit manager.
You also work closely with the HS team and have a leading role in that collaboration based on your competence and knowledge of the users.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education as a support pedagogue, occupational therapist, pedagogical education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of epilepsy and diabetes. We also see it as an advantage if you have knowledge of sign language support and alternative communication.
As a person, you are secure and humble. You easily create relationships and have a good ability to motivate others. You are inclusive and coaching in your way of working, contributing to an environment where people uplift each other and share knowledge and experiences.
You can organize and prioritize your work effectively, while also having a flexible approach and easily adapting to changes that may occur during the day. You are stimulated by challenges and enjoy working with changes based on the needs and goals of the organization.
Furthermore, you have good self-awareness as you are aware of your own feelings and how they affect behavior. You maintain a calm and positive attitude, even in stressful situations.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Welcome with your application!
