Automation Technician with Electrical Focus

ABOUT THE POSITION

As an automation technician at Alfapac, you will be part of a team where both electricians and mechanics collaborate. The work primarily involves service and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment, both in the form of planned interventions and urgent measures. In some cases, installations and minor modifications may also occur. The role is versatile and offers good opportunities to grow and develop within the profession. Troubleshooting is partly done via PLC systems, but much of the work involves practical, manual problem-solving, for example, on frequency equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Work with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Manage electrical and control technology components such as PLC
• Troubleshoot and service machines
• Perform measurement and verification of electrical installations

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has education in Electrical and Automation or equivalent
• Has good knowledge of control and regulation technology
• Has experience with frequency converters, motor control, and starting equipment
• Has practical skills in measuring and verifying electrical installations
• Can read electrical diagrams, connection schematics, and PLC documentation
• Understands and applies safe shutdown, isolation, and measurement before work
• Has knowledge of handling measuring instruments
• Has knowledge of pneumatics related to electrical control
• Has experience in troubleshooting in PLC environments
• Has a technical interest and is practically oriented - this should be clearly stated in your application
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has a B driver's license

It is also advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with pneumatics
• Several years of experience as a technician, industrial or service electrician
• Experience reading electrical diagrams and PLC programming
• Knowledge in machine construction
• Experience from the production industry with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
• Worked in the plastics industry before
• Experience following the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority's regulations (ELSÄK-FS) and the Electrical Safety Act
• Experience performing installation of cabling, motors, sensors, lighting, outlets, etc.
• Authorization AL (general low voltage)

• Alfapac is located in Åsbro - it is important that you have a plan for how to get to and from the workplace as working hours do not match public transport
• You will work in warm environments, so it is important that you are comfortable with that
• On-call time on weekends may occur
