About the Position

This position belongs to the development department where your closest ten colleagues are located in the offices in Karlskoga, Karlstad, and Örebro. Here, there is expertise in areas such as systems and effectiveness evaluation, where we are now looking for you who want to work with 3D modeling.

Within the section, we have developed advanced software for scenario-based simulation. The scenarios reflect the reality that our customers may face. Our customers utilize the program to optimize their combat techniques and maximize the effectiveness of our ammunition and firing systems.

Responsibilities and Tasks

In this role, you will be responsible for producing geometry data used in our simulation environment. The work includes processing and simplifying CAD models, creating high-quality meshes, and ensuring that they meet the technical requirements necessary for realistic simulations. You will collaborate closely with both software developers and analysis engineers to ensure that the models accurately reflect the objects to be simulated and their functional characteristics.

The work takes place in an engaged team where you will play a vital part in the delivery. Depending on the needs that arise, your tasks may need to be reprioritized at short notice. You will be an important part of the development of Grindstone, where the models will be included. The program is used both internally and by our customers to simulate and analyze complex defense scenarios.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone with a solid interest in technology and software. You have a technical post-secondary education such as computer engineering, systems science, electronics engineering, technical physics, or other education that the employer considers relevant. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Working with CAD programs
• Working with 3D modeling
• Programming

To succeed in the role, you are a development-oriented person with a good understanding of technical systems. You enjoy solving problems, both independently and in consultation with others, and are attracted by the opportunity to be an important cog in our team. Since you will be working in environments with classified security information, very high demands will be placed on integrity, judgment, and security awareness. Your technical interest shines through, and you are also interested in further developing your programming skills. If you also have any experience from the Armed Forces or the defense industry, that is a plus.
