Are you driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.

Your role

Are you passionate about working systematically and analytically? Then the role of LSA Engineer with us at Saab is something for you!

You will belong to our business area Ground Combat, which develops, produces, and delivers a wide range of weapon systems. Within the development department, you will find the ILS section, which consists of ILS/LSA engineers, technical writers, and illustrators.

For those unfamiliar with the term LSA (Logistic Support Analysis), the role involves being responsible for analyzing and specifying the operational reliability and maintenance aspects of the product during the development phase, laying the foundation for a robust and maintainable system.

As an LSA Engineer, you play a central role in specifying requirements, analyzing, evaluating, and improving the operation and maintenance of our products and systems. You work with a focus on availability, cost-effectiveness, and customer benefit throughout the product lifecycle. In practice, this means you delve into areas such as reliability, fault analysis, maintenance strategies, repair levels, task analysis, and maintenance planning, all with the goal of creating sustainable solutions that meet operational needs.

For the right person, the role offers varied, challenging, and stimulating tasks with opportunities for further development. The position is based at our offices in Karlskoga or Karlstad.

Your profile

We believe that you applying for this role have an educational background as an engineer and several years of experience in LSA engineering. It may also be that you have acquired similar skills in other ways, such as through work with statistics, SQL, XML, XSL, XSLT, or object-oriented information databases. Regardless of the path taken, we see that you have a good understanding of fundamental engineering disciplines and an interest in working systematically and analytically with technical systems.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, self-motivated, and has a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. You enjoy working analytically and systematically, make well-founded decisions, and have a natural eye for detail. At the same time, you are a team player who appreciates collaboration and thrives in a role with broad contact surfaces. In this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

It is advantageous if you have experience with tools and standards such as LSAR (Mil-Stan 1388 or Def-Stan 00-60), Windchill Risk and Reliability (PTC), or OPUS (Systecon). Experience from roles as a support or service engineer in manufacturing, automotive industry, or military operations is valuable, as well as working with Product Support Analysis according to ASD/S3000L or Preventive Maintenance Analysis according to ASD/S4000P. Also, good proficiency in advanced formulas and functions in Excel is advantageous in this role.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.

Please note that we work with ongoing selection and the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed. However, the advertisement will remain published over the Christmas and New Year holidays and into January, and feedback may therefore be delayed.
