About Us

At Närhälsan Frölunda healthcare center, you will be part of a wonderful team that works for the health of the residents through advice, treatment, and health-promoting work.

The healthcare center is located in a modern shopping center at Frölunda Torg in Western Gothenburg. Our approximately 12,000 registered patients reflect the demographics of the district with a palette of different cultures, socioeconomics, and ages. In addition to consultations with specialist doctors in general medicine and district nurses, we have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and blood pressure clinics. We also have a home visit unit and a psychosocial team. We are responsible for home healthcare, LSS/BSS, and special accommodations in the area. We also have a child healthcare center that is part of Gothenburg's oldest family center, and we are linked to PTC, Närhälsan's center for clinical trials of medications.

About the Job

We are looking for an engaged specialist doctor in general medicine for a combined position where you work both with municipal special accommodations (SÄBO) and in our home visit unit. The home visit unit consists of a team of doctors and nurses who together plan and perform home visits for the most ill patients who have difficulty getting to the healthcare center. The role also includes collaboration with home healthcare and close work with the municipality's healthcare staff at SÄBO. We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of the multi-sick patient and who enjoys a varied job where continuity and a holistic view are central.

You and your colleagues will have the opportunity to develop the operations, and continuous internal training is scheduled. There is also the possibility to specialize in different medical areas. The role includes supervision of ST and AT doctors as well as medical students, as it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare staff. We offer you good development opportunities, for example, through continuous further education. If you are a specialist in another area than general medicine, we will give you the opportunity, if interested, to specialize in general medicine.

About You

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine. You have the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare and language skills in Swedish in both spoken and written form at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement for the position.

You want to be an active participant in the development work of the organization. It is important that you are communicative and can both collaborate and work independently. You have a good empathetic ability, a good attitude towards patients as well as your colleagues, and you see a professional working method as a given.
