Job Description

Are you a qualified social worker with experience in public authority work within elderly care? Vaxholm Municipality is now looking for a care manager for the elderly unit within the social services. Your main tasks in this role are to investigate, assess the need for support and assistance, make decisions about aid, and follow up on interventions. 

You will work within social services and handle cases related to home care. As a care manager, you determine what service or support from the municipality is needed. Decisions are made based on current legislation in the area and rely on the information that you, as a care manager, gather. An important part of the job is to have contact with those who have applied for or are entitled to assistance. You will often meet their relatives or guardians as well. It is crucial that you can communicate with the elderly/users and are capable of making decisions that may be perceived as difficult and life-changing for those seeking help.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker and has experience in public authority work within elderly care.

We value that you have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, are flexible, and have the ability to take responsibility and work independently and in a structured manner. You are secure and curious about other people and skilled at building relationships and creating networks.

A driver's license is required for the position.
