The Culture and Leisure Administration works to promote cultural and leisure activities in the municipality. We are a politically governed service organization where the residents are our clients. Together we find new ideas and solutions that contribute to residents' quality of life, sustainability, health, integration, and reduced exclusion.
The administration consists of five areas of operation:
- Cultural school, youth culture, open youth activities, meeting places, and leisure activities
- Leisure, sports, swimming pool, ice rink, and association activities
- Performing arts, film, theater, art, music, museums, libraries, cultural heritage, Finnish administrative area, and minority work
JOB DESCRIPTION
You are a key person who drives both strategic and operational improvements within the administration and in collaboration with other actors. Your mission is to develop and establish common working methods with a particular focus on our two new meeting places. The goal is for these meeting places to function as strong arenas where the municipality's administrations and other actors collaborate to meet residents' needs in a promoting, inclusive, and preventive manner.
As a project and development leader, you work to create inclusive arenas that reflect residents' needs and promote participation in cultural and leisure life. The assignment involves weaving together both physical and operational conditions not only for the places but with a holistic view of how they are connected with other environments, operations, and target groups in the municipality.
You work cross-sectorally to create synergies between existing premises, program activities, open meeting places, and local initiatives. By gathering perspectives, analyzing opportunities, and initiating collaboration with existing operations, associations, and local communities, you contribute to vibrant and sustainable social environments.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the work of developing and implementing common working methods and forms of collaboration within the meeting places Humlegården and Kulturhuset Mimer together with the administration's managers.
- Work with both strategy and implementation to establish operations in Humlegården.
- Create structures and processes for how the operations can together identify residents' needs and translate them into coordinated efforts.
- Ensure that the work at the meeting places contributes to promoting and preventive efforts, as well as crime prevention work from a holistic perspective.
- Support managers and employees in change and development processes.
- Build networks and create conditions for collaboration with external actors, such as civil society, business, regions, police, and other community actors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- We are looking for someone with a university degree that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.
- Experience in leading strategic development work, preferably within the public sector or cross-sectoral projects.
- Good understanding of promoting, preventive, and crime prevention work.
- Ability to analyze complex needs and create clear structures for collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with many different actors.
