Librarian with a Focus on Education

We are looking for a librarian who wants to help drive our work with educational initiatives forward. With us, you will have the opportunity to use your skills where they truly make a difference. About the Position

As a librarian focused on education, you will play a central role in designing and implementing relevant educational initiatives for the agency's users. At the same time, you will contribute to maintaining the quality of the information resources and educational materials offered by the special library.

As a librarian, you will lead the work of developing teaching materials, guides, and digital resources to support our educational initiatives. You will plan and conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on information management and information retrieval, and if necessary, you will also perform information searches. You will guide users in utilizing digital resources and tools and contribute to the development within the framework of digitizing our information resources. In this role, you will collaborate closely with core operations to identify training needs and adapt the library's services to meet the needs of the organization.

The position is based in Stockholm.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in library and information science or another education that we consider equivalent. You have several years of current and relevant experience working with educational initiatives or guidance, both physically and digitally, preferably within a government agency. A fundamental requirement is that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms.

It is advantageous if you have a pedagogical education or have taken courses in educational science. We would also like you to have experience in programming, developing digital tools, and learning resources such as e-learning materials or interactive guides, podcasts, and AI support. Furthermore, we see it as a positive if you have good knowledge of library systems and digital tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, or AI support. If you also have knowledge of public access, confidentiality, library, administrative, or archive laws, we consider that a plus. Work experience from a total defense agency is particularly meritorious.

The Archives and Library Unit belongs to the Information Management Department. The Archives and Library Unit is responsible for managing the agency's archives, governance, and support within the information management area, and acts as an advisory body to the entire agency.

In addition, we also work with traditional tasks such as organizing and cataloging archives and handling inquiries. The unit also includes FMV's library services, where we are responsible for several different digital publication libraries, information supply, and database searches.
