Södertälje Stadsscen offers an exciting, developing, and independent job focused on making performing arts and cultural expressions accessible and widespread. The unit includes the following activities: Performing Arts, Kultur 365, Culture in preschool/school, and Print service.

Kultur 365

The operation aims to conduct culture for and with the elderly and to create new perspectives on how cultural activities, social existence, and cultural thinking and practice can enrich seniors. We want to activate all senses and create touching encounters with art, pedagogy, and technology as tools. Kultur 365 is a collaboration between the culture and leisure office and the care office, and we work proactively towards elderly care.

Your responsibilities

With colleagues or independently, you will visit Södertälje municipality's care and nursing homes and day activities with a prepared program. This may include singing, dancing, art, digital technology and can take place through mingling, performances, or conversations. As a Cultural Activities Coordinator, you will be involved in creating programs through creative processes. You will work to ensure that the elderly are activated physically, emotionally, and cognitively based on each individual's circumstances. Experience exchange, guidance, and training of care staff regarding creative activities are part of the job, as well as administrative work such as planning and reporting.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- Completed upper secondary education
- At least one year of documented experience in artistic work
- Documented experience in pedagogical work.
- Office package
- B driver's license
- Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:
- Education and work experience in care and nursing
- Experience/knowledge of digital technology, layout, and social platforms
- Education in drama/theater
- Multilingualism
- Playing one or more instruments

Personal qualities:
You should enjoy collaborating in a team as the work often takes place together with others. You should have a genuine curiosity about working with and for the elderly. You need to have a high level of empathy and be attentive as you are part of the work with the care of the elderly. You need to be able to take your own initiatives and take responsibility for completing commitments.

Working as a Cultural Activities Coordinator is a very broad and varied assignment. You are part of a larger whole within Stadsscen that collectively works to ensure that all citizens in Södertälje can experience, participate in, and create culture. Working hours are predominantly during the day, but sometimes also in the evenings or on the occasional weekend.
