MäklarOfferter has helped over a hundred thousand home sellers make better decisions in the housing market. We are growing and building Sweden's largest platform for smarter property sales. To succeed, we need content that is fact-heavy, yet accessible and engaging – texts that people actually want to read and that also meet journalistic standards.

We are now looking for an economic journalist / economic writer who can make the complex understandable, the dry interesting, and the important impossible to ignore.

The Role

You will:

• Write informative, educational, and engaging articles for our knowledge bank on housing market, household economics, macroeconomics, and housing.
• Explain difficult concepts so that they feel self-evident, without oversimplifying the truth.
• Develop ideas, angles, analyses, and guides that strengthen our authority and help our users.
• Utilize LLM tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) in your workflow to increase quality and production speed – not to lower the standard.

We work in a small, close-knit, and ambitious team in a startup environment. This means short decision-making paths, a fast pace, and that you sit close to both product and business – with significant influence over both what we write and how.

We are looking for someone who

• Loves to write about economics and housing-related topics and does so with curiosity and joy.
• Has a journalism degree, a master's in economics, or a similar background.
• Has at least 5 years of experience in professionally communicating/creating content about economics or the housing market.
• Has a very good understanding of digital writing:
• headlines and storytelling
• structure and readability
• SEO, search intent, internal linking
• Is knowledgeable about the housing market and Sweden's/households' economy, follows developments continuously, and can translate that into content that provides value here and now.
• Has excellent practical skills in LLMs as work tools and can demonstrate how you use them to produce better texts faster.

Most importantly: You have high standards for quality and deliver quickly – with extreme accuracy and a high production rate. You own your deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background from a larger media house (e.g., DI, SvD, DN, EFN, Omni, SR/SVT, etc.)
• Experience in PR work: outreach, press releases, news hooks, and media contacts.

Practical Information

• Location: Stockholm
• Scope: Part-time 1 week/month.
