About the assignment

At Novare Bemanning, we are a proud and approved supplier of the state framework agreement in Sweden. This means that we constantly receive services from authorities looking for skilled archivists. As an employee at the relevant authority in Stockholm, you will both give and receive valuable knowledge within the organization and contribute to society at large. Examples of overall tasks

• retrieval and release of information from physical archives, historical collections, or databases (public documents)
• organizing and cataloging archives
• establishing archive accounts
• creating information management plans, making assessments regarding the content of documents on what must be preserved and what can be discarded, as well as how documents should be stored
• participating in the establishment of guidelines and governing documents for internal archival work.

Requirements for the position

• university education or equivalent training and at least one (1) year of work experience from similar work. Alternatively, at least three (3) years of work experience as an archivist
• practical experience in public operations
• knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• knowledge of document and case management systems (e.g., Public360, W3D3, Platina, Iipax One Visual Archive, etc.)
• familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the role and responsibilities of archivists
• ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
• knowledge of standards such as OAIS, METS, PREMIS, PAIMAS.

Assignment period and scope

We are looking for both part-time and full-time employees for our services within the public sector, where the duration of assignments varies with frequent opportunities for extension.
