The internship will take place for all or part of the spring of 2026, with the earliest start date in January 2026.

You will be in the midst of the action in the parliament where the Green Party is an active and constructive opposition party. The days are filled with interesting debates and decisions in the parliamentary chamber, interviews with the party's members of parliament and spokespersons, and exciting discussions about green politics to reduce emissions, save nature, and strengthen welfare. During the spring, we will work on policy development to prepare for the election campaign in 2026, our responses to the Tidö government's propositions, and further sharpen and strengthen our communication.

The internship is suitable for those studying subjects such as political science, communication, journalism, economics, or law, or for anyone seeking an internship for other reasons. You should enjoy working collaboratively and function well in a team. It is an advantage if you are familiar with the Green Party's policies and if you have previously been engaged in community activities.

The office's task is to provide the Green Party's spokespersons and members of parliament with the best possible support in their work. You will work alongside the office's political advisors, press secretaries, and communicators, and in close dialogue with members of parliament and other elected representatives in the party. You will produce materials and analyses within relevant policy areas, develop new proposals, participate in meetings with various societal actors, or otherwise support the members' work in parliament. It may also involve supporting the Green Party's work on social media, drafting opinion articles, or developing communicative ideas for new political proposals. You will also have administrative tasks.

We offer you a developing and responsible internship in a dynamic work environment. Your contribution as an intern is very valuable to us. The Green Party knows that diverse experiences are enriching and contribute to a modern and humane workplace. We therefore welcome all applicants regardless of gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnic or religious affiliation. A prerequisite for the internship is a successful security clearance with a background check. You should share the Green Party's green values, although previous engagement or membership in the party is not necessary. Full-time 35 hours/week. Start date in January or February 2026 or as agreed. The internship is unpaid.

For more information, please contact policy chief Christian Valtersson at christian.valtersson (a) mp.se. Send your application to [email protected] no later than December 7, 2025. Attach your CV and clearly indicate your desired internship period including your preferred start date. Mark your application with Intern to the office.
