Summer Substitute in Elderly Care in Eslöv Municipality

Your Mission

Together with engaged colleagues, you will work to create a meaningful everyday life for the users. As a summer substitute with us, you will have the opportunity to care for, guide, develop, and make a difference. In elderly care, you will work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. Here, you will also help create well-being and security for those who need it the most.

If you are interested in elderly care, you can choose to work in home care or at a care and nursing home.

Home Care

• In home care, you work in the user's own home.
• You help and support the user with everything from personal care, meal support to walks.
• You perform your work based on a rehabilitative approach, always starting from the user's own abilities to improve their quality of life.
• You will receive a schedule for your shifts in one of the work mobiles, and based on this, you will primarily work independently, but some tasks you will do together with your colleagues.
• You will travel between users using a service car or service bicycle, depending on the distance.
• You should be able to take a medication delegation as many users have medication.
• The work also involves close collaboration with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff.

Care and Nursing Home

• At the care and nursing home and short-term unit, you will help users with their daily routines.
• You help and support the user with everything from personal care, meal support, and various activities.
• You work together in a team and always have colleagues close at hand.
• One of the care and nursing homes is focused on individuals with dementia.
• You should be able to take a medication delegation as many users have medication.
• You also have close collaboration with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff.

All units have working hours scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and nights, so we expect you as a summer substitute to be able to work varying hours both weekdays and weekends.

You will replace regular staff during the holiday period from June to August. As a summer substitute, you need to be able to work at least four consecutive weeks during this period. We would like you to be available in the spring to then continue working during the summer, so submit your application now - we hope you want to make a difference!

Your Experience

To work as a summer substitute with us, you need to;

• be at least 18 years old
• master the Swedish language in speech and writing, so that you can communicate with our users clearly, as well as handle documentation
• have computer skills and knowledge of mobile usage
• be able to cycle, applicable for certain areas
• have a driver's license, applicable for certain areas

Strongly meritorious is:

• you have previous experience of similar work
• you have a completed or ongoing education relevant to the work

You are a self-driven person who curiously and interestedly engages in the tasks with the aim of being able to work independently. You have the courage to ask your colleagues if something is unclear. To succeed in the job, you should be comfortable providing support to both men and women.
