About the Role

Do you want a varied, independent, and responsible job where you contribute to a safer society? We are now strengthening our security operations and looking for 15 patrolling guards for hourly employment in Skaraborg – primarily during the summer, with the possibility of continued work year-round.

As a patrolling guard stationed in Skövde, you are an important part of our preventive security work. Through your presence, judgment, and professionalism, you create safety for people, businesses, and property.

Your main tasks include patrolling corporate premises, construction sites, and municipal areas, where you work to prevent fire, theft, and damage. If necessary, you also support our stationary operations. As stationary guards, you often work at entrances, with access control, camera surveillance, or alarm management – both roles require strong independence and a high level of responsibility.

Working Hours

The position is primarily summer-based and involves full-time work during the summer months. You will receive your work schedule in good time, allowing you to plan your time off and leisure. Your availability throughout the summer is crucial for the opportunity to become part of the Securitas team.

The work is shift-based, often with 12-hour shifts, allowing for half the month off. For patrolling guards, a schedule of 5 nights of work followed by 5 nights off is typically applied. There is also the possibility to take shifts during the rest of the year. We appreciate and encourage employees who primarily work during the summer to also be available as needed during other parts of the year and to return regularly during the summer period.

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Preferred if you

• Have previously worked with similar tasks
• Have good driving experience

It is an advantage if you live in Skara or Skövde municipality and have access to your own car, which gives you greater flexibility.

We are looking for someone who is stable, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility. You thrive on responsibility, are goal-oriented, and have a systematic, meticulous work approach with an eye for detail. Experience in security work, patrolling, and good driving skills are advantageous.

As a person, you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, can handle periods of high work pace, and have an easy time understanding instructions. You are honest, helpful, and vigilant, making those around you feel safe. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective regulations, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment in evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
