The Care and Nursing Administration, with about 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in the city of Mölndal and includes elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for care assistants for Fässberg Care and Nursing Home. The facility has a total of 82 apartments, divided into 6 operations, where all places are for people with cognitive diseases. At Fässberg Care and Nursing Home, we work according to the Zero Vision, which means that we use approach and communication rather than restrictive measures or medication for certain behaviors. Fässberg Care and Nursing Home is Star Rated for 2026 and will continue to train all regular staff to maintain the star rating.

The work involves providing care and support by focusing on the healthy aspects of each person. We work salutogenically and always with the user's needs at the center. We want Fässberg Care and Nursing Home to be the best place to live and age, which means we place extra focus on each person's individual needs, activities, and social interaction with our users.

Your assignment includes collaborating with colleagues to improve, develop, and drive the operations forward. You will perform certain health care tasks by delegation, and the work also includes documentation according to applicable legislation. The assignment also includes being a contact person for some of the users. We work person-centered in teams around our users. As a care assistant, you have an important role in the team together with nurses, care supervisors, rehabilitation, and dementia teams.

You have the opportunity to influence your working hours based on the needs of the operations through scheduling in Time Care. All social documentation is done in Treserva. We work based on the implementation plan created in consultation with the user, and documentation is a very important part of daily work. Working hours are scheduled for permanent night shifts, and you will work 33 hours a week (for full-time). We work across unit boundaries, which means you may be required to work in another unit than where you are placed if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying for the position have the following:

• Completed education from the Care and Nursing Program or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Experience working as a care assistant with user contact.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills and experience with social documentation.
• Experience with medication training (medical delegation).

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience working as a care assistant in elderly care where you have worked in areas such as somatics, dementia, and/or psychiatry.
• Knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.

We place high demands on good collaboration skills as you will have close contact with users, relatives, colleagues, and other partners. We want you to have a good approach, a positive view of people, and to focus on the user's needs. You create good relationships and build networks with people who are important for your professional role. You need to be able to adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.
