The Social Services in Järfälla Municipality is responsible for areas such as elderly care, disability services, individual and family care, as well as health and social care. We are dedicated and competent employees who are here for our residents and want to offer a social service of good quality.

The Reception Unit is part of individual and family care and currently consists of nine social workers, a team leader, and a unit manager. The unit also includes a competence team made up of two experienced social workers who work for the entire area of Children and Youth. We are an experienced workgroup driven by development and take collective responsibility for our work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the Reception Unit, your main task is to handle reports concerning children and young people aged 0-20 years. Most verbal reports come into the unit via the municipality's service center. Together with our colleagues at the service center, you have an important role as the first contact within social services for citizens and our partners.

The work is varied and dynamic, involving many but short contacts with both individuals and families. We place great importance on meeting and conversing with the children and adults affected by the report. The work is conducted from a systems theory perspective, focusing on the resources, strengths, and risks present in the individual, family, and network. Within the administration, there are several open support measures for individuals and families that we can refer to when we do not initiate an investigation.

We have regular supervision from an external supervisor and continuous case discussions with the team leader (individually and in groups). The operational system for case management and documentation is done in LifeCare. Järfälla Social Services has a BBIC license, and all work is conducted based on BBIC.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for employees who share our values regarding a clear citizen perspective, meaning that we are here for the municipality's residents. You have a degree in social work and should have experience in public authority work within the social services area, preferably concerning children and/or youth. You are well acquainted with current legislation and BBIC, and it is an advantage if you have training in Signs of Safety and MI.

The role of a social worker requires good collaboration skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks or urgent situations. You are structured, stable, and have the ability to understand other people's perspectives or situations without taking over their feelings. You communicate easily in both speech and writing and can adapt your communication based on what the situation requires. You think of social services from a holistic perspective and are motivated to help develop and improve your operations.
