Personal Assistant for Male User with Parkinson's

We are looking for an additional assistant for a male user in his 50s with Parkinson's, who requires assistance at all waking hours. The user is currently in the process of expanding his night assistance. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can work nights with 5 hours of sleeping on-call duty. Night shifts will be approximately from 21:00 to 08:00.

To thrive in this workplace, you need to be a person who is attentive, empathetic, and can "read" the customer's needs, feeling comfortable both in the background and taking initiative and working proactively when needed. The user prefers to be as independent as possible when Parkinson's allows, so it is important that the assistant can sense when help is needed.

You must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. This is an absolute requirement as the user's voice can sometimes become weak or unclear and he needs significant help with communication. The job also includes practical tasks inside/outside the home as well as some personal care, assistance with all manual transfers, support with balance, and all other tasks such as household management.

It is an advantage if you have relevant experience or education in the following: working with individuals with speech difficulties, manual transfers, Heimlich/CPR.

The job is part-time, approximately 50%. Start date as soon as possible. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
