This position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is conducted through Bravura, and you will be employed directly by Trade Union ST.

About the company

The Trade Union ST is the largest trade union within the public sector, with approximately 100,000 members working in government agencies, state-owned enterprises, universities, colleges, and state-funded foundations. The Trade Union ST works for a sustainable working life, a democratic society, and good employment conditions for members regarding salary, development opportunities, influence, and participation. Through agreements and advocacy work, the Trade Union ST drives its issues to create changes in legislation and political decisions. The Trade Union ST is a member of TCO and is politically independent.

The position of membership recruiter is located in the Member and Elected Representatives unit. The unit consists of about thirty employees who work to support both members and elected representatives in their daily union activities.

Job responsibilities

The position of membership recruiter is suitable for you who want to strengthen the trade union movement. You are a key person and part of the project, Union Work in a New Era, which aims to strengthen the level of organization by increasing the number of active members in the union. The role involves a combination of outreach phone contact and physical workplace visits. The work is project-based and allows for significant freedom to test new methods, develop ideas, and create activities that support recruitment efforts. The assignment includes collecting and processing leads, re-engaging former members, and supporting elected representatives in their recruitment efforts. An important part of the role is also to inspire and motivate others on how to work with recruitment and create engagement in workplaces.

Travel is a natural part of the job. The role suits you who enjoy working outwardly, have good initiative, and want to contribute to further developing the organization's recruitment efforts.

Main responsibilities

  • Collect, manage, and contact leads for recruitment and loyalty purposes
  • Conduct workplace visits and hold union introductions or seminars
  • Re-engage former members and support elected representatives in their recruitment work
  • Plan and follow up on activities and manage travel and logistics related to outreach work

Education, experience, and personal qualities

Requirements: • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience in a relevant field

• Experience in sales/membership recruitment/customer service

• Experience in outreach and direct communication, such as via phone or targeted campaigns

• Comfortable and experienced in speaking to larger groups

• Shares union values and fundamental principles of security, fairness, and decent working conditions

Meritorious: • Worked in a non-profit organization or been employed in a government agency or state-owned company

• Basic knowledge of labor law

• Experience in union work

• B driver's license

At the same time, you enjoy following up on your efforts and working systematically towards goals. As a membership recruiter, you are one of the union's faces outward and contribute to ensuring that new members receive a positive and welcoming first contact.
