Fors School is part of the Fors/Nordanö principal area, which consists of two schools located in the outskirts of Avesta. The school, situated in the community of Fors but close to nature, currently has about 122 students who are taught in parallel classes. The teachers primarily work as class teachers with full pedagogical responsibility for their individual classes. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning. It is important that all students feel safe and enjoy being with us.

This position includes teaching music in grades 4-6 as well as teaching classes in both lower and middle school. You will be responsible for teaching English in one of the middle school classes at the school. The majority of your time will be dedicated to teaching in grades 2, 3, and 6.

Your tasks include planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching both individually and in collaboration with work teams and other colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you, a certified teacher, who has a teaching certification suitable for the age group in grades 1-6. You are interested and knowledgeable in the subject of music and want to teach our students in this subject. For a permanent position to be relevant, you must be certified to teach music. It is also an advantage if your certification includes teaching English in grades 4-6.

We would prefer that you have experience working as a teacher in primary school, but we also welcome applications from newly graduated teachers.

As a person, you are secure and stable. You are responsible and drive your work forward. You value good collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians and see the school as a whole. You understand that everyone absorbs knowledge in different ways and adapt your teaching according to the conditions that apply. Resolving conflicts constructively and being attentive and clear in communication is important to you.

If a qualified applicant is not available, another applicant may be hired but for a limited period; in such a case, experience working in grades 1-6 is a positive factor.

For this position, you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
