Job Advertisement: Teacher for Tällberg and Insjön Schools

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include working based on the primary school's governing documents (the Education Act and Lgr 11) together with other teacher colleagues. You will have your own responsibility for planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of the teaching you conduct. You will also participate in the analysis and development of the school operations together with other teachers and school management. The assignment usually includes mentorship for a designated student group. In addition to teaching, student supervision and educational meals are also part of the responsibilities.

About the Workplace

Tällberg School is a K-6 school with approximately 110 students. The school is organized into two working teams, school and leisure, with significant collaboration between the teams. The school's culture is characterized by a good spirit, community, and great commitment to the students' learning. The school is located 15 km north of Leksand in an environment with forests, mountains, and lakes that provide good learning environments.

Insjön School is a K-6 school with special teaching groups and approximately 210 students. It is located 10 km south of central Leksand. We are now looking for teachers to strengthen our competence, and the work can vary between classes and special teaching groups.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed teacher for early years for Tällberg School and a teacher for grades 1-6 for Insjön School. You have a positive attitude where enthusiasm and curiosity for learning are a given. We want you to have the ability to be flexible, creative, and to take your own initiatives. Furthermore, you have a good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and students and parents. This means that you involve students in the pedagogical planning work and keep parents well informed about their children's school situation.

You will come up with suggestions and actively participate in the collegial dialogue. You have a professional approach and are flexible. This means that you know in which forums to raise questions and see solutions by making your own changes and being open to others' suggestions for solutions. You are a good role model for the students and have a tactful approach towards parents. It is an advantage if you have experience in the teaching profession and/or working with students.
