The preschools in Falu Municipality operate according to the Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö 18) and offer a safe, fun, and educational environment for the children. Through our activities, we convey and anchor respect, democratic values, and a desire to learn – every day.

In our outskirts, the following preschools are included: Svärdsjö, Enviken, Linghed, Toftbyn, Sundborn, Danholn, Grycksbo, Bjursås, Sågmyra, Aspeboda, and Vika. It is important that you can get to the workplace. The bus connections are not very good.

Job Responsibilities

As a substitute teacher, you will work alongside regular staff with children aged 1–5 years. You will actively contribute to the preschool's daily activities, which means participating in outdoor play, creative activities, and excursions, as well as supporting children during routine situations such as getting dressed, meals, and rest. You are an engaged adult who inspires play and learning and creates security in the children's everyday lives. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues and guardians to create a positive and developmental environment. The work requires flexibility as you may work at several different preschools within the municipality and adapt to new teams and routines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required for the role:

• You must be at least 18 years old
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, such as reading books, game rules, etc.

We are looking for someone who is attentive, stable, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, children, and guardians and can adapt to different working methods and routines. You are empathetic and service-oriented with a genuine desire to create a safe, fun, and educational everyday life for the children. It is important that you have a flexible approach, especially regarding working hours, as the work as a substitute teacher may mean that you are booked at a preschool with short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three-year upper secondary school program in child and leisure education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Preschool teacher education.
• Documented professional experience in preschool.
• Specific competencies such as: multilingualism, singing/instruments, drama or movement, sign language support, and sign language.
• Driver's license (B) and access to your own car.

The position is a part-time employment.
