Stiernhööksgymnasiet is beautifully located by the shores of Lake Siljan and is a high school with about 500 students. It is a unique high school with proud traditions and a student body from all over Sweden. The school has a documented high goal achievement with very good educational quality. The school offers programs such as construction and civil engineering, economics, electrical and energy, natural resource management (with specializations in animal care, equestrian studies, and agriculture), natural sciences, social sciences, as well as four introductory programs. The school also has adapted national programs for forestry, land, and animals, as well as property, construction, and building. Additionally, the school offers national sports education (NIU) in equestrian sports and bandy, as well as local sports education (LIU) in various sports. There is a student dormitory with over 130 accommodation places, and food production is part of the agricultural education. Parts of the production are served in the municipality's kitchens. Thus, Rättvik has Sweden's most locally produced school meals.

Job Description

The work involves supporting students with intellectual disabilities at the Adapted High School.

This occurs during school hours in lessons, both theoretical and practical, during breaks, and during movements around the school premises. You will primarily focus on one student in the group, but the work also involves supporting other students. The job may also include accompanying students during workplace-based learning at a workplace. Your mission is to help students with a clear and safe framework throughout the day. Therefore, it is important that you can be flexible and attentive to the student's individual needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education for the role, such as a leisure educator or equivalent. You should have experience working with young people who have intellectual disabilities.

It is also an advantage if you have experience supporting students in subject areas related to the individual program connected to individual and nature as well as language and communication, and if you have experiences related to the property program or working with animals in various ways.

As a person, you are structured, stable, and relationship-building. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to adapt to different situations.

You have good digital competence and master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. The position also requires a B driver's license.
