About the Position

We are looking for a leisure leader for the boarding school activities at Gamlebygymnasiet. The school's boarding facility accommodates 120 residents. The work is scheduled for afternoons/evenings/nights (sleeping on duty). Your task is to work with your colleagues to create a pleasant and safe living environment for the students residing in the boarding school. You are responsible for planning and conducting various leisure activities together with the students. You will be present in the leisure facilities and at the students' accommodations to ensure that all students are seen and acknowledged. The position includes participating in meetings with the boarding school manager and other staff. You will collaborate closely with the school's student health personnel.

The position requires you to be outgoing and socially active, enjoy driving initiatives forward, creating connections, maintaining relationships, and setting clear boundaries. You work in line with the school's values and collaborate with the other staff. You understand the importance of your role as a role model and a reliable adult. You have a strong commitment and interest in young people and their development. You provide students with a democratic and ethical mindset. You take initiative and enjoy working evenings in an environment that demands high levels of responsibility, decisiveness, and social competence. It is also important to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work flexibly. To assist students with special needs, you need to be calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations. Working in the school requires you to collaborate with others, listen, and communicate effectively.

• You are a trained leisure leader or have extensive work experience with youth and service.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required for transporting students.

About Gamlebygymnasiet

Gamlebygymnasiet is located about 20 kilometers north of Västervik. Just over half of the school's students live in the boarding school. Approximately 50 people are employed for our 200 students. The school is operated by Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge, which runs three agricultural high schools. Hushållningssällskapet works with knowledge to develop the green industry.
