The position as an educator The overarching purpose and goal of the position is that our participants, with the help of individually tailored educational support (IPSU), should be able to become independent and complete their educational efforts with satisfactory results. We are looking for an educator for part-time employment at 50% in Kalmar. There may be an opportunity to extend the employment. As an educator, you support individual participants who have a disability and are undergoing training through the Employment Service. Support is provided in the specific areas that the participant needs help with, namely through educational interventions and work with assistive devices. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is tailored with the right competence, educational interventions, and assistive devices for each participant. You work with the participants at the training locations. Travel occurs to the various training sites. You are part of a team together with other educators in the nearby area, as well as with specialists and coordinators. Communication, feedback, and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, customers, and others come naturally to you. We place great importance on personal suitability. Eligibility requirements Work experience • Documented experience of working with people with disabilities in an educational situation for at least 1 year. • Documented experience of working with cognitive assistive devices in an educational situation for at least 1 year. Work experience must be certified with certificates from previous employers. Educational requirements Relevant education in pedagogy and/or working with people with disabilities.
