JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for support educators for 3 group homes within LSS in Mönsterås Municipality.

As a support educator in the Social Administration of Mönsterås Municipality, you work closely with the operations, and your mission is to provide support and develop the organization and colleagues. You work on behalf of and in close collaboration with the responsible unit manager.

You have the same basic mission as a support assistant/support staff, but you perform your work with an advanced formal competence. With your in-depth knowledge of approaches, value-based work, and methods, you contribute to increasing competence in your workplace.

Your tasks:

• Identify, drive, and follow up on quality and operational improvements within your area of expertise in consultation with the responsible unit manager
• Contribute to reflection and analysis during planning, implementation, and follow-up of interventions with the team around the individual
• Work to develop and improve person-centered care
• Support colleagues in the introduction of new aids and welfare technology
• Support colleagues in documentation and incident management
• Collaborate, monitor the environment, and engage with new evidence-based research in the field to implement new knowledge in the workplace
• Master and be able to take on extended delegations after assessment by licensed personnel
• Guide students to support educators during LIA
• Be responsible for the introduction and follow-up of newly hired staff at the workplace
• Be responsible for internal training of colleagues within your area of expertise

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a positive and empathetic person who is passionate about making a difference in each individual's life. Your ability to create safety and build trust is central. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with others.

You have:

• 200 credits from vocational college, 60 university credits, or a combination of YH credits and university credits that encompass at least two semesters of full-time studies.
• All education must have a clear focus on the disability area.
• Education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Driver's license B
• Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
