Do you want to work on an exciting project with intensive individual and family therapy?

If so, you are welcome to join our IKB team within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP)! Starting in 2023, Region Kalmar County, together with nine social services in southern Kalmar County, is running an innovative project with integrated individual and family therapeutic treatment at home.

The treatment is aimed at young people aged 12–18 and their families who need support from both social services and BUP. Our goal is a cohesive and effective treatment with psychiatric, psychological, and social interventions based on the needs of the youth and their families.

You will be part of a team consisting of individual therapists and family therapists, where treatment is provided in the environment that best suits the family, often in their home. In your role, you will focus on the individual's needs as well as the family's strengths and abilities, and you will adapt the treatment interventions accordingly. The work is conducted with support and guidance from a coordinator and in close collaboration with BUP and Social Services.

We want you to succeed, and you will be offered continuous supervision in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). Furthermore, you will actively contribute to a positive work environment.

The IKB project will continue until the end of 2027, and the position is a project employment until 2027-12-31.

About you

You have a university degree as a social worker, psychologist, or nurse, or another qualification that the employer deems equivalent for the position. It is a requirement that you have practical experience in therapeutic work with families, children, and youth with complex social and psychiatric issues. Furthermore, a valid driver's license (B) is required as travel is often necessary in the role. Basic psychotherapy training (Level 1) is an asset. Additional training in DBT and/or FFT is also advantageous.

BUP consists of inpatient care and an emergency department located in Kalmar, as well as outpatient clinics in Västervik, Kalmar, and Oskarshamn. You can find eating disorder units in Kalmar and Västervik.
