We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Financial Controller on behalf of our partner. This is a 50% consulting assignment lasting for 6 months with a possibility of extension. The role involves a broad responsibility within accounting, reporting, tax, and controlling in an international environment, in close collaboration with both the local team and Shared Service Center.

About the role

As a Financial Controller, you will have overall responsibility for one of the company's larger Swedish legal entities, as well as selected parts related to a smaller holding company. The role spans the entire financial flow, from ongoing accounting and year-end closing to reporting and tax management. Approximately 70% of the work consists of accounting, while controlling and tax together account for the remaining part.

You will work closely with five other Financial Controllers in the team, while the Shared Service Center handles parts of the operational flow. The role requires you to have a good ability to work independently and drive your processes, but you will also receive support from an experienced and helpful team.

Your main responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Prepare annual reports according to K3
• Ensure accuracy in accounting, data quality, and high standards in reporting
• Perform quarterly tax reporting and work with, among other things, corporate tax and deferred tax
• Collaboration with auditors and internal stakeholders
• Manage VAT and tax issues and assess deductibility and tax liability
• Collaborate with Shared Service Center regarding bookings and ongoing finance
• Participate in work related to budget, analysis of administrative costs, and internal reporting

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least 4–5 years of experience in qualified accounting
• Has good experience with K3, monthly closing, annual reports, and tax issues
• Is self-driven in matters related to corporate tax and deferred tax as well as quarterly and annual tax reporting
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Is very system-savvy, preferably with experience in Dynamics 365 and group reporting systems. To be successful in the role of Financial Controller with our partner, we believe you have very good analytical skills and structure in your work. You are used to prioritizing, planning, and adapting based on the business's demands.
