HR Administrator at the Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology employs around 130 people and trains approximately 1,200 students each year. Our research and education focus on fundamental principles and processes that help us understand and predict human behavior, as well as applying psychological knowledge in many important societal areas. Our overarching goal is that our research and teaching promote human development and health and contribute to good living and working environments. We are now looking for an HR Administrator to support the department's operational support, which consists of 18 administrators and officers in various roles. At the Department of Psychology, the HR Administrator works broadly with HR issues, in close collaboration with the HR officer.

Job Responsibilities

As an HR Administrator, you will provide support in personnel-related matters to the department management and staff. You will work broadly with ongoing personnel administration in the university's various personnel systems. This primarily involves administering cases in the personnel system Primula - cases such as new hires, changes in employment, vacation and leave, healthcare, medication, and wellness reimbursements. Our HR Administrator also assists as administrative support in various parts of our recruitment processes in the system ReachMee, with a particular responsibility for recruiting research assistants in various roles. Other tasks included in the position are, for example, writing various documents (e.g., decisions, materials for MBL, contracts), compiling personnel statistics, onboarding and offboarding employees, creating/developing processes and routines for digitization, and record-keeping. Issues such as pension matters and immigration issues may also be included. In addition, our HR Administrator serves as secretary and HR support in the department's work environment group.

The work involves a lot of personal contact with existing, new, and temporary staff. The HR Administrator also actively participates in various forums and networks for HR issues at the university with the aim of continuously improving and developing routines and working methods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in HR/Personnel Administration or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer. You should have previous experience working with personnel issues relevant to the position, and experience in personnel and payroll administration within public administration, particularly in the university and higher education sector, is advantageous. The position requires good computer skills, and we prefer candidates with experience in the personnel system Primula. Previous experience with the programs ReachMee, GUDOK, GUPAIDA, POP, and Datalagret is also meritorious. You need to feel confident in driving certain recruitment processes and be knowledgeable about the current regulations for employment matters. Since the position involves collaboration with our international staff, you should have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms.

The work requires you to independently take initiative, plan, and drive your work, but also to do so in collaboration with the department's HR officers and other internal/external contacts. As a person, you have an easy time adapting to different situations and understanding various tasks, and you have the ability to independently and together with others prioritize based on the best interests of the organization.

Employment

The position is a permanent full-time employment, but other employment arrangements can be discussed based on the preferences of the final candidate. A probationary period applies. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
