Job Responsibilities

The Functional Support Administration is seeking a strategist for a temporary position, from January to December 2026.

As a strategist, you will work closely with the management team, development secretaries, administration controllers, and functions in the staff departments. Your main task will be to coordinate, plan, and follow up on various assignments and processes.

The role also includes preparing and presenting cases for the political committee. You will lead and participate in various internal working groups and engage in city-wide networks as a link between the administration and the city.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree at least at the bachelor's level in a social science field and experience working within a politically governed organization.

To succeed in this role, you need to have excellent planning, organizing, and follow-up skills. You can connect and explain complex issues in an understandable way and have strong presentation skills for various target groups. You need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You are also skilled at leading others without having personnel responsibility and possess good digital competence.

As a person, you are structured, self-driven, and proactive with the ability to meet deadlines. We also see that you are curious and attentive to understand the needs of the organization. Since you work on many different issues simultaneously, you easily adapt to changing conditions.

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of human rights and a rights-based approach to work.

About the Workplace

Welcome to the secretariat, communication, and quality department!

The department is led by a department head who is part of the management team. Directly reporting to the department head are two unit managers, three strategists, an information security coordinator, and an emergency preparedness coordinator. The department has two units, the quality unit and the secretariat and communication unit, which have assignments in quality monitoring, committee administration, diaries, archives, and communication. The department has a total of 32 employees.

In the Functional Support Administration, over 3000 employees work together to create and develop even better support and services for people with disabilities. Our services include LSS, social psychiatry, personal assistance, guides, contact persons, relief workers, and health care. Severely ill children who are cared for at home are also part of our mission.
