Instructor in Vehicle Services at Skaraborg Regiment P4

Main Responsibilities

As an instructor in the motor section at Skaraborg Regiment P4, you are part of the unit's resources within the function of vehicle training and traffic safety. Your tasks are based on the manuals for Vehicle Services and Traffic Safety. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the regiment's other instructors in vehicle services.

Responsibilities

The instructor is responsible for planning and training vehicle drivers primarily on wheeled vehicles but also on special vehicles within the Armed Forces. The work may also involve responsibility for facilities and equipment used for training drivers.

Examples of tasks as an instructor:

• Plan and conduct training on various military vehicle types
• Support the regiment's work on traffic safety
• Assist in planning and developing routines in the Motor Section
• Plan and conduct traffic safety campaigns
• Provide support and participate in certain exercise activities

Competence development towards, for example, special vehicle instructor may be relevant.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• CE driving license
• Valid military driver's license for heavy truck
• Approved military basic training
• Pedagogical training equivalent to the FM basic officer training

Meritorious

• Previous work experience within the Armed Forces equivalent to GSS/K
• Military vehicle instructor/special vehicle instructor/military traffic teacher
• Military driver's licenses for e.g. tracked vehicle, wheel loader, Patgb
• Experience in training conscripts
• Knowledge of support system PRIO

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 operates from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is located in Skövde where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
