The pediatric medicine unit (VO) operates in both Malmö and Lund and is often described as a small hospital within the large hospital. The pediatric medicine administration team consists of about 50 employees located in Malmö and Lund, across various physical units within VO pediatric medicine. RESPONSIBILITIES

We have the opportunity to welcome two medical secretaries to our wonderful team in Malmö!

In the role of medical secretary with us, your main responsibilities will be to organize and structure the administrative work. Your tasks include writing medical records, booking patients, providing telephone service, handling inquiries from 1177, and managing mail and referrals. With us, you will work closely across different professional categories, allowing for incredible knowledge exchange and providing a solid foundation for development and continued learning.

Furthermore, you will work and document in the systems Melior, MedSpeech, and Pasis. In addition to regular tasks, other responsibilities may arise depending on your knowledge and interests. The work involves freedom with responsibility, and you are also part of the secretary group within the pediatric medicine area, where we help and support each other as needed.

Here, you and your colleagues work together in interdisciplinary care teams to plan and structure the operations. In the reception, you belong to a workgroup with several other medical secretaries where you assist each other during vacations or other types of absences. We are looking for someone who wants to work daytime, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a recognized education in health and medical care administration, 80 credits KY or 400 credits YH, or equivalent approved medical secretary training, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have prior experience with Melior, MedSpeech, and Pasis. If you also have education and experience in disease classification, this is meritorious. It is beneficial if you have previously worked with reception duties and planning.
