Team Leader in Reception at Icehotel

Take the opportunity to grow with us at Icehotel – one of Sweden’s top attractions, year after year recognized as a dream destination by people from all over the world.

A hotel built from the snow and ice of the Torne River, featuring art created by selected artists who travel here from across the globe.

The operation includes traditional hotel rooms and cabins, Icehotel 365 – a hotel by night and an art gallery by day – and from mid-December to mid-April, also our seasonal winter hotel built entirely from snow and ice.

Do you want to help create life-enriching moments for guests from all over the world? As a Team Leader in the reception at Icehotel, you play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and supporting our team in delivering world-class hospitality throughout the entire guest journey, from first contact to departure.

You act as a sounding board for the staff, provide guidance in situations that require experience, and help the team grow towards common goals. The role requires the ability to keep a helicopter perspective, focus on the guest experience, and create a sense of security within the team. You will work together with another Team Leader in the reception during the winter season, as well as with the Guest Service Team Leader during both summer and winter.

Solutions come naturally to you, and that’s exactly what we’re looking for: confident in themselves, and enjoy working together with others to achieve shared objectives. You can see the bigger picture, create structure, and contribute to a positive work environment where we always strive to give our guests a WOW experience.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Create a positive work environment and team spirit
  • Ensure daily staffing levels
  • Lead and allocate tasks within the reception team
  • Adjust resources when needed
  • Meet guests at the reception and deliver top-class service
  • Motivate and engage the team to ensure an excellent guest experience
  • Drive up selling opportunities
  • Be a part of weekly meetings with other departments to secure the guest experience
  • Manage guest feedback and implement improvements
  • Oversee Reservations – all bookings for individuals and groups up to 10 people

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent skills in both spoken and written English and Swedish
  • Good experience in front desk work, customer service, or sales
  • Leadership experience
  • A valid driver’s license (Category B)

Working hours: Full-time, mainly day shifts, and also weekends

Type of employment: 6-month probationary period

Accommodation: Staff housing is available.

We offer: One free night in a cold room to experience it for yourself and the chance to try some of our exciting activities with the Adventure Team. Generous discounts for friends and family.

Applications are only accepted through this application method. The position may be filled before the final application date, so don’t wait to apply. If you have any questions, feel free to contact [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])

To be eligible for the position, you must be an EU citizen or have a valid work permit in Sweden.

We warmly welcome your application, and we look forward to hearing from you!
