Tjintokk is located in Slagnäs, Arjeplog Lapland. Here, one of the world's largest car brands has chosen to conduct its winter testing, where the latest car models are tested under the most extreme conditions. They do this on Tjintokk's perfectly prepared tracks on land and ice with full service on all fronts.

As a night porter, you will have close guest contact, requiring a good sense of service and a solution-oriented approach to work. If you also enjoy working in a team but can also work independently, and can prioritize the right things even in stressful situations, then you are the right person for our team.

You will mainly work alone at night, so you need to focus on safety and be comfortable taking responsibility and making your own decisions. You should be structured and view problem-solving as a positive challenge.

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms (required), and German is a plus since our customers are international.

Tjintokk offers a workplace in beautiful Slagnäs, close to nature and recreation. As a receptionist, you will have the opportunity to be part of the heart of the hotel. The company has been operating in Arjeplog Municipality, Slagnäs since 1986. Tjintokk AB has the largest hotel north of Stockholm with its 440 rooms.

Your tasks:

  • Meet, welcome, and be available for our guests.
  • Check-in and check-out of guests.
  • Manage the switchboard and email.
  • Cash handling and night audit.
  • Handle inquiries related to conferences, transportation, security, access cards, and other topics within the car testing business.
  • Computer-based administrative tasks.
  • Arrival preparations.
  • Serve in the bar if needed.
  • Keep the lobby and reception welcoming and in good condition.

Education/Experience

  • Previous experience in the service industry, preferably night work, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the booking system Techotel Picasso is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills, e.g., Microsoft.
  • Working hours: You work 7 days and are off for 7 days. Working hours from 19:00-07:00, 20:00-07:00, or 23:00-07:00. The position is seasonal from November 1 to March 31. Training starts at the end of October. The season may be extended.
  • Salary: According to collective agreement for hotels and restaurants.
  • Accommodation: Staff accommodation is available for rent. A driver's license is a great advantage as the hotel is located in the middle of nature with very limited access to public transport. However, it is not a requirement.
  • Applications will be processed continuously, but the last application date is October 15.
