About the role of Accounting Economist

As an accounting economist, you will work in the VAT group and handle ongoing VAT issues, monthly closings, and international VAT registrations for approximately 40 European countries. You will also be involved in projects related to changing workflows that affect the VAT process. Our client expects you to be present in the office 5 days a week.

Examples of tasks:

• VAT reporting and VAT declarations
• Monthly closings
• Handling of excise taxes
• Collection of documentation for VAT refunds
• Support in projects and system changes

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has:

• 1-3 years of experience in financial work, preferably in accounting or tax
• Interest and curiosity about VAT issues
• Good system skills, experience with SAP (SAP S/4HANA) is a plus
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and a willingness to learn new processes
• Swedish and English proficiency in both spoken and written form

Personal qualities:

• Self-driven but team-oriented
• Flexible and adaptable in an environment with changing workflows
• Communicative and service-oriented
