Responsibilities

Are you an innovative and engaged person who wants to make a difference? We are now looking for a responsible and solution-oriented Coordinator for our summer unit!

The summer unit is responsible for waste management, hosting, and supervision at Recycling Stations, lifeguard posts, beaches, islands, and the canal. We ensure a clean and safe environment for visitors by cleaning beaches. Along the canal, we use the electric eco-friendly boat Renström to keep waterways clean. We strive for sustainability and quality to create a safe and attractive environment. During the winter, we support the winter unit with preparedness and snow removal.

In your assignment, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring that activities are carried out effectively and in accordance with set goals. You will support the unit manager in leading and distributing the operational work and coordinating the daily operations that the staff group is responsible for within Recycling Stations, beach assignments, beach cleaning, and canal cleaning. The assignment is partially operational, which means you will participate in practical work, including cleaning beaches, clearing canals, and beach cleaning. You will also support the unit manager with seasonal recruitment, invoice management, and other administrative tasks.

You will also assist the unit manager at recurring operational meetings with customers, participate in systematic work environment efforts, and assist the unit manager in the introduction of new employees and any interns.

In your role, you are expected to actively engage in all parts of the assignment and contribute to an ongoing process mapping. You plan the daily tasks and prerequisites for good communication and collaboration around the tasks to be performed. In addition, you participate in systematic work environment efforts and assist the unit manager in the introduction of new employees and any interns.

The work is independent and varied; you will achieve the desired results through good communication, collaboration, and planning. We see that you have good problem-solving skills, take responsibility, are innovative, curious, flexible, and cooperative.

Currently, we have nine permanent employees in the summer unit. During the season, which runs from April to September, the workforce expands to about 40–50 employees through seasonal employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed a secondary education. You have a B driver's license and good driving experience, as driving is part of the job. You have experience in waste management, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the assignment. You also have experience leading workgroups and in preparedness. If you have a C driver's license, BE driver's license, or boat officer 8, it is a merit.

You have the ability to see connections and draw logical conclusions from limited or complex information. You can overview your area of responsibility and place the importance of the operation in a larger context. You take into account various sources of information and perspectives and can adapt to different situations and make your own decisions to solve problems. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation, and have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to translate these into concrete actions. You take responsibility for your assignment and follow up and report results and goal fulfillment.

The role includes collaborating within your own team but also between different assignments and units. Therefore, you have a good ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common assignment, act based on it, and contribute to the whole. You need to be able to influence others and work goal- and result-oriented. It requires sensitivity, social security, analytical ability, good communication, problem-solving ability, and a holistic view. We are looking for someone with good administrative skills.
