The Urban Environment Administration has a comprehensive responsibility for the city's public spaces and overall accessibility.

We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work at the administration.

The Urban Environment Administration is part of the city development administrations in Gothenburg. Together, we work to create conditions for a functioning infrastructure, housing and quality premises, an inviting public environment, and strive for the city to be sustainable from all perspectives.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a driven person passionate about digitalization and business development? As a digitalization strategist at the Urban Environment Administration, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop our digital initiatives and capabilities from a strategic perspective. Your role will be forward-looking and collaborative, both in relation to the various operations of the Urban Environment Administration and with Gothenburg's strategic digitalization efforts.

At the Urban Environment Administration, you will have the opportunity to influence the overall digital development while growing in a stimulating role alongside engaged colleagues. Within the IT and digitalization area, there are IT architects, business developers, project leaders, GIS coordinators, project managers, IT support, operational functions, and developers. As a digitalization strategist, you will become part of the management team of the IT business area and play a central role in shaping our continued work.

In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Work closely with our operations to develop and digitalize our activities.
  • Evaluate and improve our digital capabilities and processes, as well as report effects and results.
  • Own and drive work with the digitalization strategy and participate in the development of the IT strategy.
  • Make goals, progress, and results visible in a way that inspires and drives development forward.
  • Participate in the Urban Environment Administration's forum for IT architecture and development.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

We are looking for a digitalization strategist who can lead our continued digital development with a focus on creating clear benefits for the organization and the city's residents.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be driven, analytical, and communicative, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with different functions, both within the Urban Environment Administration and across Gothenburg city.

You work systematically to improve processes and can translate needs and goals into concrete decisions. You take responsibility for highlighting visions and directions in an understandable way and ensure that relevant functions are involved in the process.

As a digitalization strategist, you move effortlessly between the needs of the organization and IT. You collaborate closely with various competencies and stakeholders to ensure that strategies and solutions are feasible and work in practice.

Furthermore, you need to have:

  • A university degree in IT or equivalent education and experience.
  • Training in methodologies for investigation, analysis, and description of strategies and processes.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development through digitalization.
  • Experience in development projects within IT and digitalization.
  • Experience in development activities within public administration.

Meritorious:

  • Experience in IT project management.
  • Experience in IT and business architecture.
  • Experience in working with LOU.

Conditions

Currently, our workplace at Köpmansgatan 20 is being renovated, where all city development administrations will gather. We will move in at the end of August – until then, we are located at Lillhagsparken until the end of January and then at Postgatan 10.
