Temporary Administrator with a Focus on Educational Administration
The Department of Mathematical Sciences is now seeking a temporary administrator with a focus on educational administration! With us, you will be part of a close-knit operational support team where we work closely together and value a good collaborative climate. About Us
The operational support at Mathematical Sciences is shared between Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg. We meet students, teachers, and other staff daily and contribute through our work to high-quality education and research in the mathematical sciences.
We are about fifteen employees working within educational administration, HR, finance, communication, library, facility services, and IT. As one of our employees is on parental leave, we are now looking for a temporary administrator who will primarily work in the area of educational administration.
Job Description
Your tasks within the educational administrative area will be broad and varied. In our study expedition, you will meet both students and staff. You will answer and manage a variety of questions such as exam distribution, room bookings, and study-related inquiries.
You will also work with some result management in the educational administrative system Ladok, where you will become an important knowledge support for our teachers. Other parts of the tasks include work with admissions to our doctoral education and administrative management of our exchange students.
We believe that you appreciate working together with others and have the ability to provide good administrative support. You are used to taking independent responsibility for your tasks, and with us, you will have good opportunities to plan your work yourself. We work flexibly and offer up to two days of remote work per week, which you plan in with the needs of the operation in focus.
As we constantly strive to develop our operations, the content of the position may change and be combined with other tasks within operational support.
We are looking for someone who
We are looking for someone with a relevant education for the tasks, preferably at the bachelor's level.
Education in Chalmers/University of Gothenburg's administrative systems as well as previous experience working with similar tasks in the higher education sector will be meritorious.
As a person, you are attentive, proactive, and have a good sense of service. You find it easy to collaborate and thrive in a supportive role where you contribute to a positive work environment. You are responsible, structured, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. It is important that you can work independently and have the drive to develop both your own tasks and the working methods in general. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Good language skills in both Swedish and English are necessary.
Employment Type
The position is a temporary full-time employment until September 30, 2026. Desired start date: As soon as possible.
