Preparedness Specialist at the Riksbank

Ensuring that payments function even in times of crisis and war and that the Riksbank can always maintain its operations is central to Sweden's total defense. Do you want to contribute to this important work? As a preparedness specialist, you will play a key role in the Riksbank's preparedness efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

As a preparedness specialist in the unit for preparedness and collaboration, you have a central role in the Riksbank's work to ensure that the public can make payments during peacetime crisis situations and in heightened readiness. You also work to ensure that the Riksbank can maintain its own critical operations.

The unit's work within payment preparedness involves analyzing risks and vulnerabilities and identifying and implementing measures that strengthen resilience. This work is carried out in close collaboration with companies deemed particularly important for maintaining payment capability in Sweden, as well as authorities within the financial services preparedness sector. The unit is also responsible for the Riksbank's regulations in the area of preparedness and monitoring compliance with these regulations, as well as for the management function that can be activated if serious disruptions in the payment area occur.

The work with the Riksbank's own preparedness includes leading, coordinating, and supporting capability-enhancing efforts in various ways. The work is conducted together with other departments within the bank and in collaboration with both authorities and private actors.

Your specific tasks may vary and be influenced by both your previous experiences and the unit's priorities.

YOUR TEAM

The Riksbank consists of nine departments. The unit for preparedness and collaboration belongs to the department for internal governance and operational support and currently consists of twelve employees. Here you can read more about the Riksbank's organization.

MORE ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with relevant academic education, for example in economics or political science, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have several years of experience working in crisis preparedness, either civilian or military defense. It is an advantage if you also have experience in:

• Working in the payment area with a good understanding of how the payment system in Sweden is structured
• Leading and coordinating crisis management or developing work methods for such management
• Leading larger processes with high demands for coordination

You are a stable and mature person who works in a structured manner and is skilled at presenting and communicating, both in Swedish and English. You take great responsibility for your tasks and contribute to the unit's long-term goals. You are meticulous in your work, have good analytical skills, and are stimulated by collaboration with others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Employment type: Permanent position where a probationary period may apply
Location: Head office Brunkebergstorg Stockholm
Working hours: Trust-based working hours
Possibility to work remotely: 1 or 2 days a week

The position may be classified in a security class, and a security review including background checks, security interview, and special personal investigation will be conducted for the final candidate. For certain positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
