Job Description

Are you a trained social worker with experience in public authority operations within elderly care? Vaxholm Municipality is now looking for a case officer for the elderly unit within the social services department. Your main tasks in this role include investigating, assessing the need for support and assistance, making decisions about aid, and following up on interventions. 

You will work within social services and handle cases related to home care. As a case officer, you determine what service or support from the municipality is needed. Decisions are made based on current legislation in the area and are based on the information you gather as a case officer. An important part of the job is to have contact with those who have applied for or are entitled to aid. You often also meet their relatives or guardians. It is important that you can converse with the elderly/users and are capable of making decisions that may be perceived as difficult and life-changing for those seeking help.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience in public authority operations within elderly care.

We value that you have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, are flexible, and have the ability to take responsibility and work independently and in a structured manner. You are secure and curious about other people and skilled at building relationships and creating networks.

A driver's license is required for the position.
