About us

The Individual and Family Administration is responsible for services according to SoL and LSS, which include individual and family care and care for people with disabilities. Municipal citizens in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and services are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority's exercise. We aim for the services we provide to lead to independence.

The operation focuses on services for children, youth, and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, individuals with disabilities who need support in their daily lives, individuals in need of financial assistance, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.

We strive for a goal- and result-oriented operation, and for us, a good reception and compliance with applicable legal requirements are of the highest priority. One of the overarching goals of the operation is to ensure that children and youth, as far as possible, are given the opportunity to live and grow up with their families, or alternatively to reunite with their origins. The focus of the operation is based on a systems-theoretical foundation with the child's best interests at heart, where we strive to find alternative solutions in close cooperation with families and their networks. However, the operation has an explicit responsibility for support and protection for children and youth who, for shorter or longer periods, need protection and may need to be placed outside their homes.

About the position

IFO children and family targets children and youth aged 0-20 years and their families. The operation includes three units led by three unit managers: the authority exercise unit (reception and investigation), the open services unit and HVB (treatment/service), and FHT (the family home team), family law, as well as the municipal part in the family center. With a particular responsibility for a legally secure authority exercise and close support in daily work, there is a senior social worker and quality developer covering the entire operation.

The family home team is responsible for the care of placed children and support for their birth families and foster homes, as well as the recruitment and training of foster homes. The team consists of 4 social workers/child handlers, 4 family therapists, and 2 foster home recruiters. The team has an organization, routine, and method built to create the best conditions for achieving the goals of care by working with the three-part parenthood. We work in case teams consisting of at least the child's social worker and family therapist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will initially be a family therapist but may, at times, be partially or fully a social worker in the form of a child handler with authority exercise.

The main responsibilities as a family therapist in the family home team are to actively work with the three-part parenthood during the child's placement period. Support and guidance to foster homes, support and treatment to the child's parents and network. Participate in training for foster homes. You plan and participate in visits between placed children, their parents, and their families.

The main responsibilities as a social worker/child handler are to plan, implement, and follow up on the care of placed children according to the Social Services Act and LVU, the Care of Young People Act. We use BBIC (children's needs in focus) and have procapita as the operational system. We are now implementing Life Care as the operational system.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or otherwise meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's eligibility requirements. You have several years of experience in social services work in the area of children and youth. You have therefore good and in-depth knowledge of BBIC and legislation, preferably SoL, LVU, OSL, and FB. It is an advantage if you have experience in investigations involving children and youth. It is also advantageous to have worked with treatment work within foster care and parenting support measures.

Requirement for a driver's license B.
