Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. We prefer female applicants for this position, but great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following:

• wants to work with a 5-year-old boy residing in Västervik
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• is tolerant of pets, as there is a cat in the household
• is smoke-free

It is also meritorious if you:

• have experience working as a personal assistant or in a similar role
• have experience with respiratory aids such as oxygen and saturation meters
• have experience in educational work with children
• have a B driver's license and access to your own car
• share the client's interests

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is hourly employment, where we are looking for someone who can work as needed. The position involves shifts scheduled during both weekdays and weekends. The working hours for the position are varied day, evening, and active night.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately, or as agreed.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
