Individual and Family Administration

The Individual and Family Administration is responsible for interventions according to SoL and LSS, which include individual and family care and care for people with disabilities. Municipal citizens in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and interventions are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority exercise. We aim for the interventions we provide to lead to independence.

The operations focus on interventions for children, youth, and their parents, substance abuse issues, violence in close relationships, individuals with disabilities who need support in their daily lives, individuals in need of financial assistance, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.

Child and Family Operations

The Child and Family Operations are now looking for a new colleague for the reception group within the Authority Exercise Unit!

Our goal is to offer children, youth, and their families the best possible social services for child care and interventions by being a goal- and result-oriented operation. Our ambition and highest priority are to comply with applicable legal requirements and to ensure that the families we meet receive a good and service-oriented response.

The work of Child and Family is based on a systems theory foundation with the best interests of the child in focus, where we strive to find solutions in close collaboration with families and their networks. One of the overarching goals within the operation is that children and young people, as far as possible, should be given the opportunity to live and grow up together with their families, or alternatively be reunited with their origins in other ways.

The target group for Child and Family is children aged 0-18 years and young adults aged 18-20 years. Child and Family consists of three units led by three unit managers.

At Child and Family, there are three senior social workers with special responsibility for lawful authority exercise and close support in daily work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibility of the reception group within the Child and Family area is to handle incoming reports of concern, applications, conduct risk assessments in cases, and manage preliminary assessments. The reception group's responsibility also includes handling the release of public documents and providing advice in contact with private individuals and other professionals. Other tasks include minor investigations, statements, and applications.

The reception group is small and consists of four social workers who receive close support from management functions. The size of the workgroup allows for close collegial support; we support and help each other in the important work that takes place every day.

Within Individual and Family Services in Nybro, we work in close collaboration between units and workgroups. We have established routines for case teams and internal collaboration where you will work together with colleagues from other parts of the operation, based on the understanding that it is when we work together with common goals for change that our work achieves the best results. We are co-creators in our development work, and there are good opportunities to contribute to the development of the operation, especially as we are now implementing new social service laws and what they entail. As a newcomer to the operation, we can also offer an introductory program tailored to your previous experiences.

We work according to BBIC, and our operational system is Procapita. In the future, we will transition to Lifecare as a system. We have continuous external supervision offered to all employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are we looking for? The position is varied and includes several different tasks that require high competence in the field. It demands the ability to structure your work, collaborate internally and externally, and maintain lawful processing in all tasks. We are looking for someone who can express themselves clearly in speech and writing and understands how their approach affects families. You have the ability to make assessments and make well-motivated and lawful decisions. You have good collaboration skills and in-depth knowledge of BBIC and legislation, primarily SoL, LVU, OSL, FL, and FB.

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has an equivalent education assessed by the employer that meets the competence requirement for authority exercise in the area of children and youth according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice HSLF-FS 2017:79. Other relevant training, e.g., MI, is also advantageous. Experience in authority exercise and processing according to SoL and LVU is meritorious. We would also like you to have experience in the profession.

As the daily work requires close collegial collaboration, great importance is placed on personal suitability. The position includes a background check. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
