We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable senior social worker as one of our senior social workers is moving on to another unit within the city area.

Adults LSS in the Center consists of 14 social workers, two social administrators, and two senior social workers. Our office is located at Första Långgatan 21 where we work in an open office landscape together with the four other authority units in the Center. The unit handles cases for adults with disabilities who request assistance under LSS. For these individuals, we also investigate their right to support under SoL. As a senior social worker, you will lead social workers in their daily work within the unit to ensure they can perform their duties in the best possible way. You are responsible for ensuring that social workers operate in accordance with the political mandate and the laws and regulations that govern our work. You will also lead social workers to maintain a user focus where the adaptation of information and meetings is important, as well as the individual assessment for each person. You are part of the unit's management team consisting of the unit manager and senior social workers, leading in the administration's line out to the social workers, but also from the social workers upwards in the line. An important part of the work is to adapt your leadership and methodological support to the varying needs of the social workers. You have a coaching approach, where the goal is to help social workers make their own assessments, priorities, and judgments, thereby contributing to their and the unit's development. You are active in the work for professional collaboration both internally and externally. The role also involves representing the administration in various contexts in the city and representing the board in administrative courts and administrative appeals courts.

As a unit manager, I have a trust-based leadership style where I see that we lead each other together, based on our respective areas of responsibility. The working environment should be unpretentious and developmental. The city area is HBTQI-certified.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You also need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written. You have good experience in authority exercise within LSS and SoL and have an interest in and high knowledge and experience in investigating and assessing the personal assistance service. You have personal experience working as a social worker. The role of senior social worker means being part of the administration's legal expertise within LSS and SoL. Experience in a leadership role and experience in other areas of authority exercise are considered advantageous.
