IF Metall is now recruiting another Data Protection Officer for a central and dynamic role, and you will be part of our data protection team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues on everything from strategies, knowledge dissemination, and training to follow-up related to the entire organization's privacy and information management. We are looking for someone who has an interest in making complex regulations simple and practical to follow in daily work.

The position is full-time and is a permanent employment with placement at the head office at Hötorget in central Stockholm. Here you will work in modern and adapted premises with engaged colleagues. There are also good opportunities for remote work. We look forward to your application!

About the position

As a Data Protection Officer, you will have a central role in developing and coordinating the union's operations to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and complementary legislation. Your work is connected to the entire organization to build effective data protection in collaboration with data protection officers, data protection representatives, data protection coordinators, operational managers, and other employees. The collaboration also includes information security officers and information managers.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Managing the rights of data subjects
• Preparing data protection matters by conducting investigations and gathering the organization's needs
• Handling personal data incidents
• Conducting internal training and conferences on data protection issues
• Conducting impact assessments
• Working on measures related to the data protection representative's control plan and reports
• Updating the privacy policy based on the mapping of various work processes
• Establishing data processing agreements and internal arrangements

Start date by agreement, salary and employment conditions are according to the agreement for salaried employees.

The position includes travel, primarily nationally to our departments but also to conferences and training relevant to the role of Data Protection Officer.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who combines knowledge of IT and cybersecurity with knowledge of GDPR. You should be able to discuss technical measures with IT, understand how the requirements for information security and other principles within GDPR can be implemented in IT solutions, and contribute to technical requirements for IT solutions. You should also be able to support IT and business projects with built-in data protection. Experience with IF Metall or working in another trade union organization is an advantage, as is experience working in a non-profit or member-driven organization.

You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You share the values of the labor movement and want to make a difference. To succeed in the role, you should be results-oriented and attentive to the support needs in different parts of the organization. We are looking for someone with the ability to create good relationships and who wants to help others grow by acting professionally with a pedagogical ability and a structured working method.
