Family Therapist at Social Administration Bollebygd
The Social Administration of Bollebygd is expanding its operations with a family therapist who will belong to the Resource Unit. Currently, the Resource Unit has 16 employees working in various areas such as preventive work, family therapy, addiction care, support for relatives, family centers, family counseling, integration, labor market, and youth development, including running a youth center.
Bollebygd, a young and expanding municipality, has future potential characterized by a holistic view, sustainable development, and growth. JOB DESCRIPTION
The position involves offering advice, support, and treatment for children and adolescents and their parents or other important relationships. We work with the new social services act in focus, where we invest even more in interventions without needs assessment. As a therapist, we also offer service conversations to residents.
As a family therapist, you will tailor the intervention based on the needs identified in the assessment of children and youth, as well as the changes the family wishes to make in their lives. We meet families in our premises, in their home environment, and in other locations. We primarily work during office hours, with some late afternoons and early evenings.
The intervention is always based on the needs of children and youth. Examples of some assignments may include improving communication and relationships among family members, strengthening parenting skills, and finding better routines at home.
In this role, you will receive methodological support and process guidance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or another bachelor's degree deemed equivalent by the employer
- Driver's license (B)
Meritorious:
- Experience working with youth and adults
- Experience in family therapy
- Experience in authority work within children, youth, or adults
- Experience working with parenting programs
- Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), LAB (Low Arousal Approach), or FFT (Functional Family Therapy)
You are driven, independent, responsible, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating and building relationships with children, youth, and adults, as well as with other professionals. You enjoy having varied assignments and can be flexible based on situational events. You have a systemic approach that sees the family as a whole.
The position requires a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
