Orustgatans BmSS is a group home located in Majorna.

The target group includes individuals with neuropsychiatric, psychiatric, and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and autism. The residence accommodates 6 tenants who have their own apartments but have access to common areas. The work with the tenants largely revolves around motivational support in daily life. There may be instances of challenging behavior.

The staff team at the residence consists of 6 support assistants and one support educator who together are responsible for planning and developing the operations while providing practical, personal, and pedagogical support in daily life. The work also includes medication management.

As a support assistant, you are responsible for establishing, implementing, and following up on routines, action plans, implementation plans, and activity descriptions with the support of the support educator.

Orustgatans BmSS offers support around the clock. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with a total working time of 38.25 hours. We use Time Care Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for individuals with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care.

You need to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit. You must be able to read, write, and express yourself fluently in Swedish both orally and in writing, as communication and documentation are central parts of quality work.

You have previous experience working with individuals in the target group with neuropsychiatric, psychiatric, and intellectual disabilities. You have worked with social documentation, implementation plans, and medication management. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of LAB (Low Arousal Approach).

You do your utmost to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on how it went. Additionally, you are approachable and helpful to others even in stressful situations, and show respect for everyone you meet at work. Moreover, you are inviting and work to ensure that the user receives what they need.
