Do you want to work with a dynamic and varied portfolio in our GD staff?
We offer a temporary position where you will contribute to work on issues that are prioritized both by the agency and the government.
You will collaborate with close colleagues and will have contact with several of our departments and other authorities.
About the job
Your focus area will be the Swedish Pensions Agency's work against incorrect payments, but you will also coordinate external referrals and participate in other work in the GD staff as needed. Parts of the responsibility for the work with control issues at the agency have been moved to the GD staff, and a collaborative body has been created in the unit for strategic oversight. We are jointly building structures to share information among the many important internal actors and have extensive external contacts. You will have the opportunity to develop both your expertise and your networks in a dynamic and welcoming environment.
The GD staff of the Swedish Pensions Agency is a new unit with ten employees led by a head of staff and a deputy head of staff. The staff supports the director general and the board in the management and governance of the agency. The unit also supports the director general with advice, communication materials, investigative assignments, or similar work. Its responsibilities also include coordination and planning of agency-wide management meetings and inter-agency contacts with the Government Offices.
An employee in the GD staff describes their work as follows:
No workday is the same as another. It varies from high to low, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, some monitoring of the external environment, many things you do for the first time. It is nice to be part of a department where a lot of other things are also happening. There is always lunch company and someone to discuss difficult questions with.
Your profile
As a person, you are structured, relationship-building, flexible, and quality-conscious.
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant academic education
- some experience working against incorrect payments in the government
- experience working with many contact points and parallel tasks
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have:
- worked in an authority with a mission to counteract incorrect payments or at the Government Offices
- knowledge of the Swedish social insurance system
We offer
A government assignment that is genuinely important! A workplace where we care about our employees having a good balance between work and leisure. We offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partially from home. As a state employee, you also have good employment conditions and a benefits package that includes wellness, paid days off, as well as good vacation and pension terms. Our office in Stockholm is centrally located in Hornstull.
