Job Responsibilities

We are looking for two new support assistants to join us at Lillebyvägen Bmss!

Here, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the daily lives of individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors.

At Lillebyvägen 11, there are five residents. You will be part of a team consisting of support assistants and support pedagogues.

We work on the premise that each individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence how their day looks and what they need support with. The individual should be given the opportunity to develop towards as independent a life as possible. Support includes all everyday situations both at home and at work and during leisure time. You will be the contact person, which means you will be in contact with relatives and other networks and actively work with implementation plans and continuous documentation.

Residential services provide support around the clock. We base our work on the needs of the residents and need to adjust working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Approved in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with clear pedagogical methods.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with individuals with autism with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in residential services.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience of LAB (low-affective approach), AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), and IBIC (individual needs in focus). We also see it as an advantage if you have good computer skills.
